QUEENSTOWN TRAINING – Under the watchful eye of Skipper Andy Tucker, Crew One were out in the dark last night between Queenstown and Kingston. Strong southerly winds gave a swell of 1.5 meters and provided extremely rough conditions for their Search and Rescue Exercise. Bob, who is our units unfortunate plastic manikin was ‘missing’ somewhere between Queenstown and Kingston. Using local knowledge, wind and swell directions as well as night vision and radar he was successfully recovered by the Coastguard Queenstown Crew. Well done Crew One!
